Kelty Late Start 2P Backpacking Tent - Lightweight & Waterproof, 2 Person Capacity

An easy-to-set-up option for two people, the Kelty Late Start 2P tent features color-coded attachment points and convenient pole sleeves. With excellent ventilation and reliable durability, this tent is also budget-friendly. Measuring 85” x 54” at its widest point, the tapered tent provides an interior area of 29.5 square feet with a peak height of 40 inches. It includes a single vestibule covering 7.85 square feet of storage space.

The two pre-bent aluminum poles create extra room inside the tent, and pockets at each corner keep the poles secure. The tent has a single door, walls made of No-see-um mesh, and a tough 68 denier floor that is water-resistant up to 1800 mm. Internal storage options include a ceiling pocket, and the tent body is protected by a waterproof 68 denier rainfly with sealed seams to keep water out.

This freestanding tent design allows for easy pitching and adjusting to find the perfect site. It comes with Kelty’s Shark Mouth stuff sack for convenient packing. For added protection, the custom-fit Kelty Late Start 2P Footprint (sold separately) can shield the tent from wet ground, roots, and rocks.

The Kelty Late Start 2P tent is quick and easy to set up with Kelty’s quickcorners and pre-bent aluminum poles. The rugged design features durable waterproof fabrics, with a peak height of up to 56 inches and a single door for access. The full coverage rainfly is made of 68D polyester with 1200mm coating for added protection against the elements.

Kelty prioritizes protecting wild spaces and uses DWR/PFC Free fabrics and coatings to reduce environmental impact. The tent includes one door, one vestibule for gear storage, inner gear pockets, featherlight stakes, and a two-pole setup. The 1P model offers 20.6 sq. ft. of space with a peak height of 37 inches, the 2P model provides 30 sq. ft. with a 40-inch peak, and the 4P model offers 56 sq. ft. with a 56-inch peak.
